At Hurlstone Agricultural High School, our School Captains and Prefect Team embody the values, character, and spirit of our community. They are entrusted with upholding the school’s proud traditions while leading with integrity, vision, and compassion. As role models and advocates for their peers, our student leaders champion the principles of excellence, service, and respect that define Hurlstone’s identity as a high-performing selective agricultural school.
Through their leadership, the Prefect Team fosters a culture of inclusion, responsibility, and aspiration across the school and boarding community. They work in partnership with staff and students to initiate programs that enhance student wellbeing, strengthen engagement, and promote school pride, from academic and agricultural initiatives to service, cultural, and sporting leadership.
Each member of the team plays a vital role in shaping the tone of student life and ensuring that Hurlstone continues to grow as a community of excellence. Their example reminds all students that leadership is not defined by position, but by purpose and the courage to serve others, to uphold the highest standards, and to lead with humility and heart.

Our Vision Statement
Our Prefect Team, consisting of 20 student representatives, strives to lead with integrity, leadership, and respect. As student leaders, we are committed to serving the school and extended community with dedication and pride, working to foster a supportive and inclusive environment where all students feel encouraged to participate, contribute and grow. Embodying the values of spirit, integrity and service, our Prefect Team aims to strengthen a sense of unity within and beyond a school setting, while maintaining a culture of pride and mutual respect. Through ongoing efforts, we aim to guide, support and represent the Hurlstone community to promote and inspire student engagement within a positive, collaborative school climate. Our Prefect Team endeavours to leave a meaningful and lasting impact - Both within the school community and beyond it.

Our School Captains embody the spirit, pride and values of our school community. Through their leadership, dedication, and compassion, they inspire others to strive for excellence. Their commitment sets the tone for the year ahead and encourages every student to contribute their best.
Our School Captains for 2025 - 2026 are Sarah Pham and Tejas Srinivasan.
Boarder Captain
Our Boarder Captain demonstrates leadership, empathy, and commitment within the boarding community. He plays a vital role in fostering a supportive and inclusive environment where all boarders feel valued and connected, while upholding the standards and values that enrich Hurlstone’s school life.
Our Boarder Captain for 2025 - 2026 is Aryan Singla.
Vice Captains
Our Vice Captains play a vital role in supporting the student leadership team and strengthening the connection between students and staff. They lead by example, demonstrating initiative, responsibility, and teamwork in every aspect of school life.
