Enrolment
Hurlstone Agricultural High School is a fully selective high school with the opportunity for regional, rural and remote students to board. We provide highly gifted students with the best educational opportunities to achieve academically, to develop socially and to demonstrate the skills that are required to succeed in later life. We utilise our farm for agricultural education to encourage lifelong learning. Selective high schools are unzoned so parents can apply regardless of where they live.
Our school can help with enrolment queries throughout the year.
Other NSW public schools have specific local intake areas. If you live inside a school’s local intake area, your child is guaranteed a place at that school. Use School Finder to find out if you live in our local intake area.
Entry into Year 7
Applications for Year 7 entry into a selective high school are open in November 2025 and close mid February 2026. All Year 7 enrolments, including boarding early entry applicants, will come from this application process.
The Selective High School tests are conducted over a 3-day period in May 2026. Students will need to attend one test date only. Further information regarding entry into Selective High Schools is available at the following link:

Book a boarding school tour
Before applying and/or enrolling as a boarding student, prospective students, parents and carers can book a boarding school tour to learn more about our residential program. Prospective enrolments and their families will have the opportunity to meet our friendly staff, explore our school facilities, and see what makes our school a great place to live and learn.

Need an interpreter?
The Telephone Interpreting Service allows parents and carers to connect with qualified interpreters by phoning 131 450 and requesting their language.
This free and on-demand service facilitates clear communication between parents and schools. Parents and carers can listen to instructions on using the service in their language.
