Boarding at Hurlstone Agricultural High School is an exciting milestone for our families, and we are thrilled to welcome them into our boarding community.
Boarding school life is a diverse and unique experience that offers valuable life lessons and opportunities for personal growth. At HAHS, we are committed to ensuring that your child feels connected to their learning, builds positive and respectful relationships, and develops a strong sense of belonging within both the school and the wider community.
While living as a boarder is a fantastic way to form friendships and learn about others, it can come with challenges—like sharing a space with siblings. We are dedicated to providing a safe, supportive, and responsive environment where all students can thrive academically, socially, and emotionally.
Your child will be placed in year-specific dormitories/compartments, twin share or single rooms, and receive ongoing support from our experienced team, including dorm monitors, boarder captains, duty team members, the Head Teachers of Welfare, nursing staff, Student Support Officer, School Counsellors, and the senior leadership staff.
The school counsellor and Student Support Officer are available throughout the school day for guidance, support, or simply a friendly conversation. Appointments can be arranged through the school’s main office or the Head Teachers of Welfare.
